Chaparral belongs to a grouping of a desert Artemesia. It is another one of those universal herbs that traditionally is used for almost any variety of ailments, including acne, arthritis, cancer, chronic backache, hair growth, increased eyesight, eczema, bowel troubles, weight reduction, kidney infections, sinus, throat and pulmonary conditions to name a few.

It is also traditionally well recognized as one of the best antiseptics, besides its use as a diuretic, expectorant and general tonic. It has been claimed to have anti-cancer action, thought to be due to an alkaloid, known as “nordihydroguaiaretic acid or NDGA”, which has the quality to convert any ‘out of balance fermentation process’. Dosage: Adults, weighing 130 to 150 pounds, may take 10 drops in liquid or by direct ingestion, 3 times per day for 15 to 20 day period. Children may take ¼ to ½ the adult dosage, depending upon weight.
